Hola Marcelo, hablemos de los comienzos  de la banda...
Océano de Sangre nace en el 2003, en realidad es la reencarnación de Damnation y el cambio de nombre se realizo por problemas legales.

¿Que material poseen editado y quienes son sus integrantes?
Océano de Sangre posee su primer álbum oficial llamado “Hasta El Final” incluye un track interactivo, muy completo y todos los  temas nuevos mas el Himno Nacional Argentino.

¿Como fue el proceso compositivo de “Hasta el Final”?
Yo venia componiendo fuerte en el 2002, parte de ese material quedo para el disco y luego compuse 3 o 4 temas mas para completarlo.

El proceso de composición es una mezcla de poner muchas horas de esfuerzo y esperar la inspiración, pero si no pones esfuerzo la inspiración sola no viene.

¿Y el proceso de grabación?
Empecé grabando todo en Perfect Symetry, que es mi estudio personal, grabe las maquetas yo solo, salvo la voz, donde ya participo Jorge Diaz (actual cantante de Océano de Sangre), paralelamente a eso nos ayudo con todas las guitarras Luis Gallardo, un excelente violero y amigo.

Posteriormente a esto, se incorporaron a la banda Adrian Huillier (guitarra) y Leonardo Dorado (batería) entonces decidí que seria mejor que Adrián volviera a grabar las guitarras del disco, y a Leo lo metimos en un estudio de un amigo a grabar las baterías.
Después toda la mezcla fue en casa.

Algo que me llamó mucho la atención fue que todos los temas poseen la misma duración. ¿A que se debe esto?
Jajajaja, la verdad que eso es cómico porque mas de uno habrá dicho: " como hicieron estos tipos para que todos los temas midan lo mismo?" y, en realidad, ese fue un error de grafica, así que no es así... hay temas de 3 de 5 y de 10 minutos en el álbum.

Me gustaría que me describas cada una de las composiciones de este nuevo material...
OK, no la voy a hacer muy larga.

“Sangre”: La banda le habla a un demonio...y este demonio se representa con audios reales de diferentes personajes reales, como Videla por ejemplo.

El estribillo le pregunta: "cual es el secreto de tu sucia ambición?, cual es el misterio de tu sangre?" (muy a lo Symphony X)

“Intentando”: Es una historia donde el protagonista agoniza perdido en un desierto y en ese andar moribundo realiza algunas reflexiones sobre su vida... (en lo musical es una cruza de Metallica con Iron Maiden, con Symphony X)

“Hasta El Final”: Habla sobre la lucha diaria, pero camuflada en un personaje épico, la idea del tema es darnos pilas, día a día, para luchar por nuestros ideales ( a nivel musical es mas power metal)

“Nostalgia”: Una cruza de Iron Maiden, de lo tranquilo de Iron Maiden con cosas de música clásica, letra de Jorge Diaz, muy reflexivo..

“Río Del Tiempo”: Es un tema instrumental, marcha por el lado de Dream Theater y Fates Warning, muchos climas y algunas inclusiones de audio muy interesantes.

“La Historia Del Día”: Es un tema que refleja la bronca y la desilusión de como nos han tratado nuestros políticos en estos últimos 20 años. El personaje principal se pira mal...y escuchen lo que pasa!.

“Himno”: Nuestro querido y sentido Himno Nacional Argentino (originalmente la versión tenia 3 o 4 minutos mas de extensión, pero lo recorte porque era demasiado largo).

“Regresar”: Regresar es sin duda uno de los temas que mas me gustan de este disco. Eso se debe quizás a que tiene un andar muy  progresivo en el estilo de Dream Theater, Fates Warning y me apasiona escribir música en ese estilo.

La es una ficción donde un hombre logra tener un libro en su mano y en el puede leer de sus vidas pasadas, de su presente, y de lo que será en su vida en el futuro.
Es un tema que amo profundamente ya que esta dedicado a mi madre que falleció en dic del 2003.

“Heroe”: Este tema venia originalmente como bonus track de un disco mío de música en el estilo “Lord of the Rings”, y decidimos meterlo como final del disco.

¿Cual es la diferencia entre Océanos de Sangre y Damnation?
Uf... muchas y ninguna... (!!!)
Muchas: porque ya son otras las personas que me acompañan en cada uno de los proyectos. Y porque desde Damnation a este Océano de Sangre ya existen unos buenos años de maduración personal y musical.
Y ninguna, porque la fuerza y las ganas de hacer cosas son las mismas.

Ustedes han versionado “La Marcha de San Lorenzo” y el “Himno Nacional Argentino”. ¿Cual fue la intensión de estas versiones?
La intención fue mostrar 2 canciones patrias que en si son muy bellas musicalmente hablando, y reversionarlas es en cierta manera es volverlas a oír pero con un sonido y un sentido del estilo musical que tanto amamos , que es el heavy, el power el prog, llámalo como quieras.
Los tipos de 40 ya estamos cansados de escuchar esos vinilos viejos que nos pasaban en el colegio!
Quizás con estas cosas los chicos comprendan que no esta mal emocionarse con un himno o una marcha patria, lo importante es empezar a revalorizarnos como pueblo, ya que, al momento, estamos con un cáncer bastante grande metido en el país, ( y estoy hablando de los monopolios y la filtración cultural que nos vienen haciendo desde hace años).
Así que en realidad los motivos son varios.

¿Cuales son las influencias de la banda?
Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Rush, Dream Theater, Queensryche, Fates Warning, música clásica, Pink Floyd... no se, muchas...

¿Planes futuros?
Actualmente estamos grabando un tributo a Fates Warning, es un EP de 5 tracks que intentaran dejar plasmado el amor que, al menos yo le tengo a este grupo.
Tratar de tocar, dentro de lo difícil que esta en el 05 y  escribir para el próximo de Océano de Sangre para el 06/07.

Hello Marcelo, let us speak of the beginnings of the band...
Ocean of Blood is born in the 2003, in fact it is the reincarnation of Damnation and the name change one carries out for legal problems.

That material possesses published and who its members are?
Ocean of Blood possesses its first album official call “Until The End” it includes an interactive, very complete track and all the new topics but the Argentinean National Hymn.

As the composition process it was of “Until the End?”
Me leave composing strong in the 2002, it leaves of that material I am for the disk and then I composed 3 or 4 topics but to complete it.
The composition process is a mixture of to put many hours of effort and to wait the inspiration, but if you don't put effort the alone inspiration he/she doesn't come.
And the recording process?
I began recording everything in Perfect Symetry that is my personal study, record the scale models me alone, except for the voice, where I already participate Jorge Diaz (current singer of Ocean of Blood), parallelly to that I help us with all the guitars Gallant Luis, an excellent guitar player and friend.
Later on to this, they incorporated to the band Adrián Huillier (guitar) and Gilded Leonardo (battery) then I decided that serious better than Adrián it recorded the guitars of the disk again, and to Leo we put it in a study of a friend to record the batteries.
Then the whole mixture was at home.

Something that got me a lot the attention was that all the topics possess the same duration. To that this is?
Jajajaja, the truth that that is comic because but of one he/she will have said: " like these types made so that all the topics measure the same thing"? and, in fact, that a graph error was, so it is not this way... are there topics of 3 of 5 and of 10 minutes in the album.
I would like you to describe me each one of the material compositions of this new one...
OK, I won't make it very long.
“Bleed”: The band speaks a demon ...y this demon it is represented with different real characters' real audios, as Videla for example.
The refrain asks him: "which the secret of your dirty ambition is? which the mystery of your blood is"? (very to the Symphony X)
“Attempting”: it is a history where the main character is in death agony lost in a desert and in that to walk moribund she carries out some reflections about her life... (in the musical thing you/he/she is one you/he/she crosses of Metallica with Iron Maiden, with Symphony X)
“Until The End”: he/she Talks about the daily fight, but camouflaged in an epic character, the idea of the topic it is to give us piles, day by day, to fight for our ideals (at musical level it is but power metal)
“Nostalgia”: One crosses of Iron Maiden, of the calm of Iron Maiden with things of classic music, letter of Jorge Diaz, very reflexive..
“I laugh At the Time”: it is an instrumental topic, it goes for Dream Theater side and Fates Warning, many climates and some inclusions of very interesting audio.
“The History Of the Day”: it is a topic that it reflects the fight and the disillusion of as our politicians they have treated us in these last 20 years. The main character you bad pyre ...y listens what happens!.
“Hymn”: Our dear and felt Argentinean National Hymn (originally the version had 3 or 4 minutes but of extension, but it clips it because it was too long).
“To return”: to Return is without a doubt one of the topics that but I like of this disk. That is owed maybe to that has a to walk very progressive in Dream Theater style, Fates Warning and I am crazy about to write music in that style.
It is she a fiction where a man is able to have a book in his hand and in the one he can read of his last lives, of his present, and of what will be in his life in the future.
It is a topic that I love deeply since this dedicated to my mother that died in dic of the 2003.
“Hero”: This topic leave originally as bonus track of my music disk in the style “Lord of the Rings”, and we decide to put it as final of the disk.
Which the difference is between Oceans of Blood and Damnation?
Uf... many and any... (!!!)
Many: because they are already other people that accompany me in each one of the projects. And because from Damnation to this Ocean of Blood exist already some good years of personal and musical maturation.
And any, because the force and the desires of making things are the same ones.
Did you make versions of “San Lorenzo's March” and the “Argentinean National Hymn”. Which the intensión of these versions was?
The intention was to show 2 native songs that in if they are very beautiful musically speaking, and re versions is in certain way it is to return them to hear but with a sound and a sense of the musical style that so much loves that it is the heavy, the power the prog, you call it like want.
The types of 40 are already tired of listening those old vinyls that happened to us in the school!
Maybe with these things the boys understand that not this wrong to be moved with a hymn or a native march, the important thing is to begin to revalue like town, since, to the moment, we are with a quite big cancer put in the country, (and I am speaking of the monopolies and the cultural filtration that you/they come us making for years).
So in fact the reasons are several.
Which the influences of the band are?
Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Rush, Dream Theater, Queensryche, Fates Warning, classic music, Pink Floyd... not you, many...
Future plans?
At the moment we are recording a tribute to Fates Warning, it is a EP of 5 tracks that tried to leave captured the love that, at least I have to this group.
To try to play, inside the difficult thing that this in the 05 and to write for the next of Ocean of Blood for the 06/07.
